How to Become an Assessor for Certificates of Competence (Land Based)
Certificates
of Competence qualifications are assessed through one to one observation of a
candidate carrying out tasks and answering questions. The assessment is
carried out by an Assessor approved by City & Guilds NPTC.
City
& Guilds NPTC will train and approve Assessors, providing they meet our
Quality Standards.
Those
approved will have a combination of comprehensive technical
expertise/qualifications gained in the relevant industry, together with
excellent communication skills and assessment ability, sufficient to
demonstrate competence and integrity of the highest order.
We
must advise you that City & Guilds NPTC are not bound to appoint any person
to the post of Assessor, but will evaluate applications along with the Centre,
train and subsequently approve sufficient Assessors to meet its needs.
