Certificates of Competence qualifications are assessed through one-to-one observation of a candidate carrying out tasks and answering questions. The assessment is carried out by an Assessor approved by NPTC by City & Guilds.

NPTC by City & Guilds will train and approve Assessors, providing they meet our Quality Standards.

Those approved will have a combination of comprehensive technical expertise/qualifications gained in the relevant industry, together with excellent communication skills and assessment ability, sufficient to demonstrate competence and integrity of the highest order.
